It is important to take charge of your own life.
Take responsibility for your own health, performance, behaviour and stress levels. This is your responsibility even if you are ill. It is very rare that everything about us is unhealthy at the same time. Focusing on the healthy part will strengthen the weak part. I am not just ill, I am also well.
What happens in the body when we breathe, and what happens in the body when we are stressed? How can we consciously use breathing methods to manage stress? Can we actually enjoy our day-to-day stress? We constantly communicate with our bodies through breathing, thoughts and emotions. We must ask ourselves: What kind of messages would I like to give my body?
Your breath is intrinsically related to your autonomous nervous
system. The way you breathe will therefore always affect your
body and mind.
|
We have been given the opportunity to control this unconscious
physiological process in a conscious way. The interaction between
your breath and your autonomous nervous system can be beneficial
in many situations. Your breath is a dynamic tool which will
help you achieve better health, increase your performance, heighten
your presence, change your behaviour and manage your stress.

We have a tendency to seek help everywhere else but from ourselves.
The human body is capable of self-regulation and self-healing.
We have all experienced the body’s self-regulating and
self-healing powers, just think of a bruise or cut you've had
– it heals on its own without your conscious influence.
When we are present in our own body and work with it, we strengthen
these abilities. When we are tense and take shallow breaths,
we suppress these abilities. The breath affects all the processes
in the body, which is why it is a dynamic tool for interaction
with your body.
